The theory is that this can be done in NG+ if you give Seigward the armor he gave you in NG, and never buy the armor from Patches. Send greirat to plunder irithyll when you hit the first bonfire INSIDE the barrier in irithyll. run through irithyll without leaving the zone and kill pontiff sulyvahn, DO NOT go near irithyll dungeon or greirat is toast. You CAN pick up the distant mansion bonfire thats right before the dungeon, but don't go any further than that. Greirat hasn't returned? I gave Siegward his armour back, talked to him and toasted with him by the fireplace, then I sent greirat into Ithyril. I went and defeated the old fire demon boss. This is the second playthrough that has randomly had him die on me when he should've lived. Here's what I did: Rescued Siegward from the well after beating the Cathedral Sent Greirat off to Irithyll Beat the Old Demon King Went to Irithyll and found Greirat dead in the sewers Can't find Greirat's Ashes. I can't find his ashes and I've looked pretty much everywhere! Both locations tbh! Edit! So I went ahead and started The Ringed City, fought the Demonic Prince with some help and when I came back to the Firelink Shrine...Greirat was there! So apparently if you beat the base game and decide to send out Greirat he won ... Send GREIRAT to plunder irithyll. Kill old Demon King (easiest boss to progress quest) RETURN TO FIRELINK - be sure to return to firelink to ensure Greirat has returned, failing to do so and progressing to irythill dungeon will result in his death. Greirat dies on his outing to Lothric. Notes. Sells Embers, Repair Powder, and Firebombs cheaper than sold by the Shrine Handmaid without Greirat's Ashes. There are four versions of Greirat's Ashes. One before any scavenging runs, and one after he returning (or dying during) each run.
